IYASE: Scholarship for study at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI)

IYASE will award one $1500.00 scholarship annually to one of its members in order to support and to ease the expense of travel to India and study at RIMYI. 

Requirements:
  • current member in good standing of IYASE
  • certified at Teacher in Training or higher level of Iyengar Yoga certification
  • confirmation letter indicating acceptance to study at RIMYI for year applying
  • financial need
  • dedication to the practice of Iyengar yoga
  • not a current board member/relative of IYASE Board member
  • must be willing to contribute to IYASE, e.g. write an article for the newsletter
The deadline for applications is October 15th of the year prior to the applicant's travel to RIMYI. The award will be made by November 30th of that year.

Applicants for this scholarship must also submit to the IYASE Scholarship Chair:
  • A copy of CONFIRMATION TO STUDY AT RIMYI
  • A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION from an Iyengar Certified Teacher
