at Stillwater Yoga Studio
Atlanta, Georgia

THE TEACHER

Karin O’Bannon:
“I became a student of Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar the first time I picked up that silver book with the orange letters: Light on Yoga. If the guru is the one who brings light to the student in darkness, Guruji's book became my first guru.”

Over the past 20 years, Karin has regularly traveled to India to study with the Iyengar family. In 1996 she received Intermediate Sr. III level certification. In 1974 she began teaching yoga in Louisville, Kentucky and continued in Southern California for over 20 years. As a long time teacher at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Los Angeles, Karin taught all levels of classes and taught in the teacher-training program. She moved to Rishikesh, India in 2002 - 2003 and taught Iyengar Yoga to all levels of students, developing a teacher-training program recognized by IYNAUS. Currently Karin has returned to the South and is living and teaching in Shreveport, Louisiana.
