Randy Just: New Orleans 4-Weekend Teacher Training

This program is a 2-year IYNAUS-approved teacher training that consists of at least 60 hours of class time and personal study per year. It is not required to commit to the 2 years by registering for the program in 2019. However, applicants must be willing to make a commitment to a daily personal practice, time for study and fulfilling assignments and attending as much of the four weekends as possible in 2019.

Mayans Retreat: Align Yourself in the Land of the Mayans with Jen Kagan and Rosa Santana

Rosa Santana was Made in Brazil with Mexican ingredients, Rosa Santana, is a CIYT (Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher) and IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists) Certified. She has been studying, teaching, and propagating the therapeutic art of Iyengar Yoga since 1995. She was drawn to the mental and physical discipline after suffering three accidental falls, one of which fractured her tailbone. Since healing her back, neck and sciatica pains, she has introduced yoga to thousands of students who had never experienced this healing art and science. 

In 2002, she founded Yogarosa, which has become a respected yoga studio in the classical teachings of Iyengar Yoga. She has hosted numerous internationally recognized teachers and continues to teach and mentor yoga students as well as yoga teachers.

She has had the privilege of studying directly with Yoga Master BKS Iyengar, and continues to study with his daughter, Geeta, son, Prashant, and granddaughter, Abhijata in India. She is inspired by her teachers, Eddy Marks and Mary Obendorfer. Rosa has presented the benefits of Iyengar Yoga as a Guest lecturer at Nova Southeastern University, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of South Florida and Puerto Rico, and the National Parkinson’s Foundation. She leads Iyengar Intensives in the US, and internationally.

Jen Kagan currently lives in San Miguel Allende, Mexico, and was trained at the New York Institute of Iyengar Yoga with Mary Dunn. Her teachers include Carrie Owerko, Laurie Blakeney, Mary Obendorfer, Eddy Marks, Devki Desai and Gulnaaz Dashti. And of course at the top of all these are the Iyengar Family in Pune, India where she studies every two years. 

She is a Jr. 2 CIYT and a certified Iyengar Association of Yoga Therapist and serves on the Comité de Evaluacion in the National Association of Iyengar yoga (AMYI). She teaches classes in English, Spanish and American Sign Language.

Her passion is sharing the innumerable gifts of Iyengar yoga so that you can live a more healthful and vivacious life.

Iyengar, and co-founder of the Yog-Ganga Centre in northern India, for an inspiring weekend of asana, pranayama, and Yogic philosophy. Swati Chanchani and her husband Rajiv are founder-directors of the Yog-Ganga Centre in India. They began studying Yoga in 1975 with BKS Iyengar, and spend several months each year at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute, Pune, learning, practicing, appreciating, and assisting with the Iyengar family. Authors of Yoga for Children, they brought yoga formally into the Indian education system. Swati and Rajiv continue to teach at the Yog-Ganga Centre and at forums worldwide.
