Randy Just: Teacher Training & General Asana/Pranayama for Community

Audubon Yoga hosts a weekend of training with Randy Just. Enjoy dynamic and fun asana classes for students of all levels, along with well-rounded teacher training sessions for Teachers-in-Training and those pursuing Junior Intermediate I, II or III certification. Audubon Yoga offers a supportive and welcoming Iyengar yoga community of aspiring and experienced teachers in the Iyengar tradition.

Friday evening and Saturday morning are open to students throughout the community. Sunday morning begins with a pranayama class. Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning/afternoon sessions continue with teacher training.

This intensive course is suitable for serious students of Iyengar Yoga who are interested in deepening their understanding of the practice and philosophy of yoga in their daily lives. The program also imparts invaluable knowledge for those who are preparing for assessment as a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) as well as for those pursuing certification through the Junior Intermediate III level. 

Randy is the director of BKS Iyengar Yoga Studio of Dallas and is a Senior Intermediate I Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor. His study of yoga began in the 70’s and during the mid- 80’s he became a devoted student of B.K.S. Iyengar. Randy has studied with the Iyengars in Pune, India as well as many senior Iyengar teachers globally and throughout the United States. His devotion to yoga and compassion for his students characterize a dynamic, precise teaching style. His innate sense of humor coupled with an insightful understanding of Iyengar yoga inspires and challenges his students thus enhancing the depth, clarity and focus of their practice. Randy is currently an assessor on the National Board for Iyengar Yoga Teacher Certification.

This program is a 2-year IYNAUS-approved teacher training that consists of at least 60 hours of class time and personal study per year. We will meet for four weekends throughout 2017.
