IYASE will award one $1500.00 scholarship each year for a member traveling to India
to study at RIMYI in Pune.
IYASE is now accepting applications
for the 2009 award.
To apply, you must have confirmation from RIMYI of acceptance to study at RIMYI in Pune, India in 2009. The decision will be made in November 2008 and awarded once your travel arrangements have been confirmed.
Requirements:
- Individual must be a current member in good standing of IYASE
- At the Teacher in Training level or higher Iyengar teacher certification
- Confirmation letter indicating acceptance to study at RIMYI within twelve months following the IYASE RIMYI scholarship application deadline
- Financial need
- Dedication to the practice of Iyengar yoga
- Not a current board member of IYASE
- Letter of recommendation from an Iyengar certified teacher
- Write an article for the IYASE newsletter and e-bulletin about studying at RIMYI
The deadline for applications is October 15, 2008.
The award will be made by November 30, 2008.
